THE FIRST PICTURE ON THIS PAGE WAS TAKEN AT THE RIVER RAISIN BATTLEFIELD IN MONROE, MICHIGAN. THERE IS A LADY STANDING NEXT TO THE TREE IN THE CENTER OF THE PICTURE. WE THINK SHE WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE WOMEN WHO FOLLOWED THE TROOPS FROM CAMP TO CAMP DURING THE WAR OF 1812. I HAVE CROPPED AND ENLARGED THE LADY IN THE PICTURE ON THE RIGHT.
